An autumn of learning

We have a calendar of great learning events lined up for you this autumn. Take a look – there’s something for everyone!

For branch education co-ordinators…

For the first time ever, we’re holding a seminar to bring branch education co-ordinators together from across UNISON. This is a chance to network, to find out what’s new in UNISON activist training and member learning, and to share experience with other branch education co-ordinators.

It’ll be held on Tuesday 11 September at UNISON Centre.

The deadline for applications is 31 August. Don’t miss out!

For readers…

We’re very pleased to be hosting the launch of the Reading Ahead challenge 2018-19 at UNISON Centre on Thursday 13 September. Bestselling author and former librarian Ann Cleeves will be talking about Wild Fire, the final book in the acclaimed Shetland series.

RSVP by Monday 20 August.

For learning reps…

Our Stepping Up event last year was such a success that now we’re Stepping Up Another Level. This two-day event (3-4 October, UNISON Centre) will look at successful English and maths learning initiatives, build your confidence to deliver workshops, and look at some creative takes at functional skills.

The closing date is Wednesday 22 August.
