Discover your family history with UNISON learning

UNISON has teamed up with the WEA (Workers’ Educational Association) to deliver a new course on family history. The course will be delivered over Zoom in three sessions of two hours each.

Due to popular demand this course is now full and has a waiting list. New dates will be advertised as soon as we have them.

By the end of the course you will be able to:

  • Describe the difference between genealogy and family history
  • Explore why researching family history can be a valuable activity
  • Draw a family tree using common symbols
  • List the common sources of information used in family history research
  • Plan on what to do next and to progress your own research.
