Growing in confidence with UNISON learning

This autumn three of our most popular member learning courses will be going online. Delivered by WEA (Workers’ Educational Association) tutors, Power To Be You, Your Skills, Your Future, and Get That Job take you on a journey that builds your confidence, explore your skills, and gets you ready for the next steps.

Due to popular demand these courses are now full and have waiting lists. New dates will be advertised as soon as we have them.

Each course comprises six hours of learning, delivered in three two-hour Zoom sessions by a tutor from the WEA.

Power To Be You

  • Improve self-esteem
  • Share ideas and tips for addressing confidence and assertiveness issues
  • Learn more about UNISON education and development opportunities
  • Be able to speak up with confidence

Your Skills, Your Future

  • Identify your existing, transferable and potential skills for the purpose of personal or professional development.
  • Feel more confident about your skills and abilities.
  • Find out about the UNISON learning offer and how you can get more involved with the union

Get That Job

  • Gain better knowledge of the job application process.
  • Gain confidence.
  • Reflect on your skills, and the skills for other jobs.
  • Understand the job application process.
  • Know how to complete job application forms, with reference to the person specification and job description.
