Advanced disability discrimination law courses – online!

Our advanced employment law courses have always been popular, and we’re delighted to announce that we’re now able to offer an online version of the Disability Discrimination Law course. If that’s successful, we’ll be offering further advanced employment law courses online

three hour refresher (for those who have previously attended the three-day classroom course) will take place in the morning of 22 September, 9.30am-12.30pm, followed by an online version of the full Disability Discrimination Law course across three mornings in October:

  • Wednesday 7 October, 9.30am to 12pm
  • Wednesday 14 October, 9.30am to 12pm
  • Wednesday 21 October, 9.30am to 12pm

The courses have been updated to address specific issues around disability raised by the Covid-19 pandemic. They’ll involve some pre course work, which will be emailed out, and presentations and discussion via video conference (Microsoft Teams) on the day.

We have contacted UNISON activists who had previously attended the Disability Discrimination Law course, and those who were on the waiting list for classroom courses. We’re now able to open applications up further – we have a few places left, so apply nowYou will need to have completed the Introduction to Employment Law course before applying for any of the advanced employment law courses.

If you’re interested in attending either the refresher or the full course, please email learningandorganising@unison.co.uk to let us know. Even if you can’t make the dates, we’d be very happy to add you to a waiting list and let you know about future courses.
