Schools and FE support staff are essential to creating safe, respectful learning environments. This 90‑minute interactive online session, delivered by UK Feminista, will help you build the confidence and skills to recognise, respond to and challenge misogyny, sexism, and sexual harassment in schools and FE colleges.
- The scale and impact of sexism and sexual harassment in education.
- How online misogynistic content is affecting students and staff.
- Reporting: understanding barriers, sharing good practice and how UNISON can support you.
- Why a whole‑school approach matters.
This training is designed for schools support staff working with pupils in Key Stage 2 and above, and for FE support staff. It’s ideal for anyone who wants to strengthen safeguarding practice and help build a culture of respect across their setting.
Note that places on this course will be prioritised for members in school support (KS2 or above) and FE college roles. The session will take place via Microsoft Teams on Tuesday 12th May 16:00 – 17:30pm. Applicants will be notified to confirm whether they have secured a place on this course after Tuesday 28th April.
