Free to UNISON members working as managers in social care settings, this course offers an opportunity to develop your leadership skills to better support your team.
The course has four modules two weeks apart, on the 1st & 15th February and the 1st & 15th of March. All four sessions will run from 9.30am to 12.30pm. You will need to commit to attending all 4 sessions to complete the course.
This is a new course being delivered by an experienced Social Care training provider and is only open to UNISON members who are currently working as managers in a social care setting. The course will cover:

- Managing change
- Team dynamics & behaviour
- Motivation & empowerment
- Team development
- Optimising our time
- Prioritising & delegation
- Urgent vs important
- Legislation & getting it wrong
- One to one feedback
- Assertiveness and conflict
The course is free to eligible UNISON Members but is being put on at considerable expense to the union and places are limited. Therefore, we ask that you only apply if you can attend all four sessions.
