Making learning happen in your workplace

25 November 2020 2:00pm–3:00pm

Have you enjoyed taking part in workplace learning? Or do you think it sounds intriguing even though you’ve never heard of it before?

Are you worried about how your colleagues might cope with upcoming changes at work?

Do you have ideas for events or initiatives where people can have fun and learn something at the same time?

If the answer to any of these questions is ‘yes’, you might want to consider becoming a UNISON learning rep. Often referred to as ‘ULRs’, UNISON learning reps are volunteers who encourage and support their colleagues with learning, raise awareness of learning issues and speak up for learning in the workplace.

We’re holding a webinar for UNISON members who are interested in becoming a learning rep. Teresa Donegan, head of UNISON’s Learning and Organising Services, will be joined by assistant general secretary Roger McKenzie and by UNISON learning reps and education staff to explore what learning reps do and why they’re so important. They’ll discuss how to get started and answer your questions about the role.
