This session will focus on introducing mentoring, looking at the skills, active listening skills and will offer the Grow Model as a structured approach to use.

There will be an opportunity to participate with conversation practice amongst the group. If you prefer not to participate, you can just become an observer.

There will then be an introduction to the Padlet that will cover model policies and mentoring forms that can be adapted by you.

By the end of this session participants will be able to;

  • Understand the Grow model
  • Gain some practice and understanding on some of the forms and process of a mentoring scheme

Attendees should expect to be introduced and gain a better understanding of mentoring using a structured approach with the grow model. This will include a reference to templates on a form, guided policy that can be adapted for use on the padlet.

It should be stated that the session will include an opportunity to practice amongst those attending, so there will be an expectation for group and one to one practice sessions; a role play of mentoring. If you would prefer not to participate, you have the option to observe only. Please let us know at the start of the session, or in advance.

The session will be delivered via Microsoft Teams, to apply for this course please complete the application form below;
