Welcome to our National Delegate Conference (NDC) 2024 page.

What is NDC?

UNISON’s annual National Delegate Conference (NDC) is the union’s ruling body. Every year delegates from all over the country take part in debates, and vote on motions to choose our campaigning priorities and policies.

UNISON College UNIZONE stall

Our stall had a great response in the UNIZONE area! Many members and activists came to take materials, ask questions and chat all things UNISON College with our staff.

We also featured a learning focus activity. This was designed to identify what courses and workshops members would like to do, both in the immediate and longer term.

The UNIZONE learning focus activity got lots of engagement and enthusiasm. Some members were totally new to UNISON College, while others were more experienced.

The activity allowed all members to hone in on their interests and act as a springboard to get more involved in their UNISON College learning journey.

The courses were divided into 4 categories, then members placed coloured stickers on their preferred choices:

  • Personal Skills – such as Speaking with Confidence
  • Professional development – including Mental Health Awareness
  • Well-Being and Support – such as Menopause Awareness
  • English, Maths and digital Skills – including Digital Skills

NDC 2024 UNISON College Fringe meeting

This year UNISON College ran a fringe meeting at lunchtime on Wednesday 19th June entitled The power of ULRs – impact of learning on organising, bargaining and our members’ lives.
