Getting started with Mentoring Skills and Practice December 2023

6 December 2023 10:00am–12:30pm

If you are interested in mentoring skills and want to find out more about it, then this course could be just the right place to start.

Mentoring offers the potential to build and develop confidence. It offers techniques to work through a particular issue. It can act as a sounding board to help resolve any potential conflict or barrier.

Whether you simply want to find out more about it, think it might support your current job role, or you are already mentoring but just want to check in on how to approach it.

You might also find it useful for your UNISON role such as a learning rep and want a bit of guidance on how to start it in your branch and workplace.

This course will outline how to structure a mentoring conversation, along with some guidance. There will be a brief opportunity to practice at the end.

This course is open to any member or activist across any sector interested in developing their mentoring skills.

The session will be delivered online via MS Teams on Wednesday 6th December, 10 – 12:30pm
